What are image intellectual property rights?

  • Digital images are items of intellectual property (intangible property that is the result of creativity). When a photographer, designer, or artist creates a digital image, they automatically own exclusive rights to their intellectual property.
  • United States aim to protect image owners from third parties who may use the intellectual property unfairly or without permission.
  • A Digital Image License allows an image creator to retain their copyright and get paid for the use of their images.

 

Digital purchases

  • Digital files purchased from 24DIGI.com can be used for personal or commercial purposes as long as the usage complies with US laws.
  • As specified in the description of the product, purchases can be with non-exclusive or exclusive / unlimited intellectual property rights.
  • 24DIGI.com, 24DIGI, or the photographer will discontinue the commercial usage of the digital purchases with exclusive / unlimited intellectual property rights, however will retain a copy to be used as part of the Portofolio.

Digital files produced for customers will not be used for commercial purposes other than the originating service fulfillment, however they can be used part of 24DIGI.com, 24DIGI or photographer portfolio unless otherwise requested by customer at the time of service fulfillment and no later than 30 days from the time of service fulfillment.

Photos produced for customers – Digital files retention:

  • Customer Galleries will be open 60 days for ordering.
  • Full size JPG files will be retained for one year.
  • Some JPG files can be retained longer, part of 24DIGI portfolio and displayed on 24DIGI website or social media, unless otherwise requested by the customer.
  • Retained pictures can not be used by 24DIGI for commercial purpose. Customer has unlimited rights of the received digital files.
  • RAW files will be retained for 6 months in case aditional edits are requested by the customer.
